The RetailBox app is designed to protect your information and enable you to choose what you share.

  • The RetailBox app brings together a diverse, curated selection of mesmerising screen savers, all in one app.

  • Software Network collects information about your purchases, downloads and activity in the RetailBox app. We use this information to provide the service and to improve the RetailBox app for you and others.

  • We also collect information about your purchases, downloads and activity in RetailBox, and what you watch to tailor features and improve our personalized recommendation features.

  • When app analytics is enabled, an approximation of your location is gathered through your Wi-Fi or cellular connection. We only gather location data in approximations. The data is not personally identifiable and cannot be traced back to you. This data is also only used in the event of a server service interruptions, to verify the affected locations.

Software Network uses your Unique RetailBox User ID (which can be viewed in Settings > About) to verify your eligibility for service offers.

Providing the RetailBox app

We use your personal information to provide the services and features inside RetailBox. This information includes your device model, software version, service provider, any paired Bluetooth devices, free storage space and your approximated location to improve the services we offer.

Software Network collects information about what you purchase and what you’re watching in ReailBox to tailor our marketing material and screen saver collections. We also collect a detailed history of all playback activity.

Improving the RetailBox app

Software Network collects information about your usage of the RetailBox app to improve our services, including which of its features you use (for example, Settings or Search), notifications you interact with, content pages you browse or view, and information on errors or crashes within the app. We use this information and information about what you watch to help improve and optimize RetailBox for you and others.  We also collect information about your devices such as the type of device, the version of your operating system, and the amount of free space on your device. We may use this information to assess whether requested content can be downloaded, to understand general trends in the use of device storage and whether your device is connected by Wi-Fi or cellular. 

Personalizing Experiences

We personalize RetailBox to help us deliver screen savers that we think will be relevant to you. For example, we recommend screen savers with high interaction and satisfaction in Featured monthly, and screen savers will be of interest to you based on past trends. To provide personalization, we use information including what you watch, your purchases, downloads, browsing, and other activities in RetailBox across your devices.

If you do not want to Software Network use information about what you watch on your device, you can turn off app analytics in Settings -> Privacy -> Share RetailBox Analytics.


Sharing with Third Parties


Software Network is committed to your privacy and does not share any of the information we collect to any third-parties. This includes our affiliates and/or any marketing agencies. 


We retain personal information associated with your purchases, downloads, and viewing activity in RetailBox for different lengths of time depending on business need, contractual obligations, and legal requirements. 

You can request data removal by sending a request through Support.

How your data is managed

We store user data and usage information under your RetailBox User Number, which is completely anonymous. Some handling of user data is subject to the Google Analytics Privacy Policy. Google’s Firebase platform is certificated under ISO 27001, SOC 1, SOC 2 and the S0C 3 evaluation process for certification.

We process all data in the United States, and our servers are located in New Jersey, United States.

Marketing Communications

If you subscribe to marketing communications via email, you agree that you will be enrolled in analytics data which includes email retention, viewing, opening and whether or not the email was successfully delivered. We will use this data to improve our marketing communications and gain an understanding of our current policies.

EU Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

On May 25th, 2018, the EU Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) replaces the 1995 EU Data Protection Directive. Software Network is committed to helping our customers succeed under the new GDPR legislation, which is why all of our Analytics services is GDPR-compliant. Software Network ensures user transparency and control over data collection through privacy, with an in-app link leading to the page under “Privacy Policy”, and Software Network works with iOS alerts to provide the specific, correct consent when required, like when we need Notification access or access to Touch ID or Face ID.


We don’t specifically store user data, however, all Analytics Data is anonymous, this specifically contributes to graphs and trends. No personal information will be stored anywhere.
