Use Library Lock to restrict access to RetailBox features

If you're using RetailBox in a commercial environment, Library Lock allows you to use Face ID, Touch ID to access RetailBox features.

Enable Library Lock

If you are using RetailBox in a retail environment, you can restrict access to RetailBox features using Library Lock, or Retail Restricted Mode with some older versions of RetailBox.

To enable Library Lock:

  1. Tap Library Lock

  2. Enable Library Lock

  3. Enter a password 

The password you use can be letters, numbers or a combination of both and can't be over 10 characters.

Next time you close screen savers by swiping down, your iPhone or iPad will require verification.

Use Face ID or Touch ID

With RetailBox 4.2 and later, if your device supports it, you can use Face ID or Touch ID to verify.

  • Face ID requires iPhone X or later, iPad Pro (12.9-inch) (3rd generation), or iPad Pro (11-inch)

  • Touch ID requires iPhone 5s with RetailBox 4.2 or iPhone 6s or later with RetailBox 5.0

  • iPod touch does not support Touch ID or Face ID

To enable, tap the Use Face ID/Touch ID option in Library Lock's settings menu.

If the option does not show, your device might need to be updated to the latest version of iOS, or will need to be serviced by an Apple Authorized Service Provider.
